Parkwalk invests in high growth UK Knowledge Intensive University spin-Out companies seeking to utilise and commercialise some of the >£5bn annual publicly-funded research investment made through our Universities and other R&D intensive institutions.

Parkwalk’s investment strategy, network and pipeline of deal-flow allow it to select investee companies with the highest likelihood of commercial success.

Parkwalk’s systems and processes help address some of the main venture capital investing risks, by ensuring new management are commercial and with relevant industry experience, considering the company’s future funding needs, ensuring the product itself is commercial and by spreading the investment stage of each Funds’ investments.

The Parkwalk Growth EIS Funds generally invest alongside other large VCs with the potential to co-fund future funding rounds. The Funds seek capital appreciation, with the added advantages to investors of the tax reliefs offered under the Enterprise Investment Scheme.

Parkwalk is a multi-award winning growth EIS fund manager whose Growth EIS Funds invest in a minimum of five companies ranging from early stage through to AIM-listed, creating a diverse portfolio of sectors and business development stages with capital raised used for development, commercialisation and expansion through to acquisition capital.

Performance

Parkwalk EIS Funds have invested in over 100 companies, which have raised in excess of £1bn of funding between them since 2010 and over 600 patents protect their technology and processes.

The Parkwalk Funds are approximately invested 50% in seed/series ‘A’ and 50% in series ‘B’, ‘C’ or AIM-listed companies. The University of Cambridge Enterprise Funds, University of Oxford Innovation Funds and the University of Bristol Enterprise Funds generally comprise earlier stage investee companies.
