Paragraf

The Parkwalk Opportunities Fund and the Parkwalk-managed University of Cambridge Enterprise Fund V have invested in a £2.64m seed round in Paragraf Limited, a spin-out from the Department of Materials Science at the University of Cambridge.

Paragraf focuses on the production of ‘two-dimensional’ materials, primarily graphene, and the development of devices based on these materials. Using a proprietary approach to the formation of graphene, Paragraf has achieved large area material production that overcomes the recognized issues of poor uniformity, poor reproducibility, limited size and material contamination, inherent with current graphene manufacturing techniques.  Further, the technique developed by Paragraf delivers functionally active material with properties specifically targeted at its end use or application, for example electrical characteristics tuned to deliver high sensitivity sensors.  This breakthrough finally enables graphene technologies to be realised on a large scale.
