Founded in early 2013, Cytora has built an event detection technology that can detect factual, real world events in unstructured text. The technology can be scaled to cover all major event categories and be monetised across the Financial Services, Defence and Supply Chain markets.

Extracting real world events from unstructured text also provides data for impact analytics, enabling companies to work out the impact of events on their supply chain and assets (this is of specific value to supply chain modelling and trading).
At a fundamental level, Cytora are using the web to monitor the world to alert organisations to changes in risk level – across different sectors – in an automated way.
